Conservation & Natural Area Management/Natural Resource Management

There are many organisations that have statutory, organisational and/or ethical responsibilities to manage the natural values within large tracts of land under their control.  This can include commonwealth, state government and local governments, traditional land owners, public service providers and utilities, and agricultural operations.  In addition to this there are a range of non-government organisations oriented towards conservation or land management that work with other landowners and government to improve natural resource management outcomes.  Carbon management is also becoming an increasingly important focus.

We work with a range of land managers and other organisations to help them understand the environmental attributes and values of land under their management control and also to formulate management responses and frameworks to responsibly conserve these.  In addition a number of our team members have had board and previous employment level involvement with local governments and various environmental non-government natural resource management organisations, and therefore understand the context within which these entities operate.

Our natural resource management clients need consultancy services that are responsive to the imperatives of what they are trying to achieve and committed to doing this within the limited funding and resources that is generally available.  Deliverables and advice needs to be pragmatic and outcomes oriented in order to assist those involved with natural resource management achieve sound environmental and land management outcomes.
