Yanchep Golf Estate is a large residential estate located within the Yanchep City Local Structure Plan area within Perth’s northwest corridor. It is situated immediately adjacent to the existing Sun City golf club from which it derives its name and views over adjacent fairways. It was acquired by a Peet development entity in 2010.
Emerge Associates were involved from the very early stages of this project from when the site was purchased and initial design was completed and approvals were sought. We have provided a range of services including environmental planning and management, hydrology/urban water management, ecological surveys and management and bushfire management. While a broad range of technical specialists have been involved, this has been coordinated through a single point of contact through our Environmental Planning & Management Team to provide an efficient interface for the client.
The key items have been addressing a range of ongoing environmental management requirements through the subdivision process, providing support for civil construction works, assisting with EPBC Act compliance, preparing staged urban water management plans, the preparation of bushfire management plans and assisting with their implementation, and managing groundwater licensing requirements. The latter has been a key consideration given the groundwater availability constraints in the area and the need to work within the Department of Water’s northwest corridor water supply strategy.
