Busselton Foreshore Upgrade

Busselton, WA

Redevelopment of the Busselton Foreshore is a project of regional significance set to provide a number of social, community, recreational and tourism benefits that will play a major role in the revitalization of the Busselton Town site.

Following overall master planning of the Busselton Foreshore project site, construction of a seawall had taken place and funding had been obtained to commence upgrade of the car park and public open space areas along the Foreshore including; viewing decks, promenades, BBQ and picnic facilities, shelters, cycle paths and newly built form including a few kiosks, cafes and short term accommodation.

Inheriting the project mid-works, Emerge Associates undertook due diligence on working documents, produced construction budget estimates, resolved all final construction detailing and material palette selection to provide a construction drawing set and specification that could easily be delivered in-house by City of Busselton construction crews. Further to this, Emerge undertook an extensive design and budget review with the Major Projects Officers to ensure all required outcomes of the extensive community consultation process could be achieved within the strict budgetary and timing constraints typically associated with federal and state funding.
