Emerge was engaged by Department of Communities to develop a strategy for an alternative precinct wide energy solution for Bentley 360. The focus of the strategy was to determine the best pathway to deliver a zero-carbon energy outcome for the future medium density community in an affordable scenario.
The focus of our research was to determine a zero-carbon energy outcome that eliminated the upfront cost burden to buyers, took advantage of the transformative renewable energy and storage technologies available as well as the funding opportunities through various research grants.
We undertook stakeholder consultation with key players in the energy space to assess the opportunities available to the precinct and future community. Emerge looked at a holistic approach including; the network, built form standard and fit out, and household and community solar.
Emerge were also engaged on the delivery of an Urban Greening Strategy and the environmental management of the Bentley 360 project including ecology related deliverables.
