Cameron is a Principal Environmental Consultant in our Victorian Studio and manager of the Victorian environmental practice. Cameron has over 20 years professional experience in technical and operational roles. He has worked on a diverse range of projects including major residential and commercial developments, linear infrastructure (rail, roads and energy transmission), quarrying and mining and with the Department of Defence.
Cameron is trained as an ecologist having completed a masters and undergraduate degree in natural science. In addition, Cameron is currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Arboriculture. His work includes due diligence assessments, ecological approvals and planning and post-approval construction and compliance management. This may involve ecological surveys and net-gain assessment, arboricultural assessment, threatened species monitoring, offsets and a range of management planning such as biosecurity, kangaroo, bushfire and threatened species translocation.
Prior to consulting, Cameron worked for a number of government agencies including Parks Victoria, the Environment Protection Authority (Victoria) and the Department of Primary Industries (Queensland). Cameron has significant experience with Commonwealth, Victorian, NSW environmental legislation and policy and has provided expert planning advice to a range of Victorian clients.
