We are currently looking to fill an Environmental Consultant role to enable the continued growth of our busy Environmental Planning and Management team. In return, we offer you the opportunity to gain experience in the provision of a range of environmental support and consultancy services, including (but not limited to) the provision of strategic environmental and sustainability advice to projects, Environmental Protection Act (EP Act) approvals, permits and licences, Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act (EPBC Act) referrals and assessments, environmental support for Planning and Development Act approvals (scheme amendments, structure plans, subdivision and development approvals) and bushfire risk management.

You will be involved with clients and projects that span numerous sectors, including land use planning, infrastructure, property and urban development, state and local government, resources and mining, tourism, natural resource management and agriculture.

Our ideal match for the role will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in either environmental science, environmental management or equivalent.
  • Ideally 3-6 years environmental consultancy experience.
  • A desire to work with other team members and contribute to overall team outcomes.
  • Experience with Commonwealth, State and Local Government environmental protection processes, and an awareness of town planning legislation and processes.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to follow instructions to develop report writing skills quickly and efficiently.

The right person for this role will have relevant experience with Microsoft Office, with GIS skills an advantage, and be able to present a professional and friendly demeanour to team members and our clients and stakeholders.

If you are an enthusiastic, motivated team player who is comfortable trying new tasks and wants to be part of a busy and dynamic workplace, we would encourage you to apply.
