We are thrilled for our project with Mission Australia for the Drug and Alcohol Youth Services (DAYS) Courtyard to be awarded a 2021 Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) WA Landscape Architecture Award for Community Contribution.
WA Jury Chair Tom Griffiths cited our project as a great example of how landscape architecture can play a significant role in the delivery of charitable projects for at-risk communities, through the transformation an underutilised courtyard into a welcoming outdoor space that positively impacts the young people who access the service and facilitates reflection, healing and recovery.
The enthusiasm and dedication of our team drove the momentum of the project, with strong engagement with stakeholders in the design process and contractors and suppliers in the project delivery. We would like to expressly acknowledge our contractor LD Total for delivering this project with us.
We are proud of this recognition for such an amazing collaborative community project.
